Foster parents provide temporary homes for animals prior to adoption. Providing a foster home is a wonderful and personal way to contribute to saving a Galgo. Some Galgos need extra love and care before they can be adopted, so providing foster care for a few days, weeks, or months can be a lifesaving gift for a Galgo.

Fostering helps prepare a Galgo for adoption into a loving home. It gives the Galgo a chance to get used to life in a house, and an opportunity to learn that people can be kind, food is available, and there is a warm, secure place to sleep.

Of course, taking a foster pet into one’s home, loving him/her, and then letting him/her go requires a special kind of person. Here are some benefits of fostering an animal:
